The cranes have a lifting capacity from 80 kg up to an impressive 120 tonnes and the company stands for great technical know-how. With an extensive retail network and high level of service, the development in Sweden is viewed positively. The Swedish head office is located in Karlstad. Within its segment, standardized industrial cranes with lifting capacity from 80 kg up to 120 tons, ABUS Kransystem is one of the largest on the market in Sweden. The company mainly offers traverses, slewing cranes, light traverses and rope and chain hoists. ABUS Kransystem AB is a subsidiary of the German group with headquarters in Gummersbach, near Cologne. In Sweden, ABUS Kransystem is close to the market with a large dealer network, comprehensive advice and technical support, turnkey solutions and professional service. Tony Wittgren, CEO at ABUS Kransystem AB says; – We have reseller agreements with a number of different companies that work throughout Sweden that handle sales to end customers, installation as well as service and repair. Together we call ourselves the ABUS Sweden Group. We offer different types of overhead cranes, light overhead cranes, slewing cranes and hoists with a lifting capacity of up to 120 tons, this is our concept. We build standardized workshop cranes with good quality and at the right price. Within the ABUS Sweden Group, we also offer process cranes and special cranes, ergo solutions, lifting accessories such as lifting yokes, adapted lifting tools and the like, so we are a complete supplier for the Swedish market’s lifting needs, says Tony.ABUS Kransystem AB currently has approximately 130 employees in Sweden.– Our largest target group is the manufacturing industry where we have a broad clientele, from smaller companies to the large, well-known companies in Swedish industry. We have roughly 30 salespeople who work with this market and we work continuously to develop the company and our brand, as well as to increase market presence. We offer a high and cost-effective service. This is one of the reasons why we are so big in small and medium-sized companies, our market presence is higher than that of many others, says Tony. ABUS Sverige Gruppen invests in well-educated technicians with a high level of knowledge and who undergo ongoing internal training. – We have around eight training courses per year where we train the technicians, it also becomes motivating for the technicians to be able to develop and make a career within the group. For example, you can become a general renovator and carry out analyzes to increase the lifespan of the taps, says Tony.Looking positively at the future ABUS Kransystems technicians can also carry out service for other crane brands, which means that you can gather all service in the same place. They also offer the technology required around the crane, such as crane tracks and lifting tools, for example vacuum and magnetic lifting. There is always a lot going on at the company, which regularly publishes press releases on its website. – A novelty with us is, for example, in light traverses where we offer three steel profiles and two aluminum profiles in a new profile family. Now there is also a fourth steel profile, HB240S, which will enable even more efficient solutions for our end customers, says Tony. During the turbulent period with the pandemic, Tony believes in a positive future for the industry in Sweden. – I am optimistic but at the same time humble that things may change. In the future, however, there may be a capacity shortage of labor within the industry, this is a common phenomenon within the manufacturing industry. I hope that it will go well and that the industry can continue to do well in Sweden, concludes Tony Wittgren.
