They develop LSS residences with consideration for people and the planet

Published: 14 February 2023, 10:06 Updated: 17 February 2023, 09:36The ongoing energy crisis has made many people aware of the importance of energy efficiency. For several years, Emrahus has specialized in concept development and building safe LSS residences that are precisely energy efficient, with the goal of reducing the sector’s climate impact both now and in the future. Emrahus builds smart and stylish LSS residences – Emrahem – developed with the help of several experts in psychology, neurodesign, cognitive accessibility and architecture. The company is driven by the vision to develop society in a long-term sustainable way without compromising on accessibility for the residents. Something that is clearly reflected in the way the company works with design and construction. – When you build as we do, you get accessibility in the bargain when you make the houses more sustainable. The thick insulation and the smart ventilation system give us a very good indoor climate that increases the cognitive accessibility considerably, the only thing that needs to be supplemented is to make sure that the physical accessibility is as it should be, says Anders Linde, architect and sustainability specialist at Emrahus. The latest project that Emrahus produced is an LSS residence that promotes quality of life, independence, security and a sense of belonging thanks to the location of the residence. The LSS residence is the first of its kind to be equipped with the health-promoting lighting system Human Centric Lighting (circadian lighting). Research shows that lighting leads to increased well-being, better sleep and higher energy levels.Sweden’s most environmentally friendly LSS accommodationWith the ambition that the new LSS accommodation will be the first building in Sweden with double certification in both Miljöbyggnad Gold and Passive House, there is no doubt that Emrahus has succeeded in sustainable construction. – Actually, sustainable construction is not hocus pocus. Above all, a lot of care is required, especially if you want to build handsome houses. The certification process in our latest project has helped us by forcing us to think a little extra and follow up on everything carefully. We have learned a lot from it, which we will take with us into future projects, says Anders Linde. All Emrahem are built as climate-smart passive houses. It provides several advantages for the environment and also the indoor air. As Emrahus is built as a passive house, all air that comes in is filtered, so the indoor air is free from pollen and road particles. The ventilation is also more efficient than in ordinary houses, which contributes to fitter and healthier residents and staff. Passive house technology also contributes to the house maintaining an even temperature, which is good for those who are sensitive to temperature changes.About EmrahusEmrahus builds passive house-certified LSS residences developed with the help of some of the country’s leading experts. The company’s ambition is to constantly be at the forefront when it comes to developing well-thought-out and energy-efficient LSS homes with the resident in focus.
