It is about new technology, new functions – and an even clearer direction towards more sustainable mobility. are ten new products presented with the model that was recently named “Car of the Year 2022”.Kia EV6 – The new generation electric car

New platform

Building an electric car on a basic technical structure that has been developed to also be used for internal combustion engines often means that the manufacturer needs to compromise in a number of areas. Therefore, the Kia EV6 is instead built on the newly developed E-GMP platform, which is specially developed for fully electric cars. It offers many benefits, such as a flat interior floor, generous interior space, exciting design and a low center of gravity that contributes to safe road properties.

Ultra-fast charging

Thanks to 800-volt technology, the EV6 can be charged ultra-fast: from 10–80 percent in down to 18 minutes at a charging station with at least 250 kW.

The battery

All models on the Swedish market come with a battery of 77.4 kWh. It enables a range of up to 528 kilometers at full charge according to WLTP.

Mobile Powerbank

Kia EV6 is equipped with a so-called vehicle-to-load function (V2L), which means that the car can charge and drive other electrical devices. Since the car can deliver a power of up to 3.6 kW, the EV6 can function as an extra charger for equipment in your home, as a Mobile Powerbank for outdoor adventures or even to charge another electric car if needed.

Towing capacity

Motorists who need to be able to tow heavy trailers – such as caravans, boat trailers or horse transports – have so far had difficulty finding an electric car that meets the challenges. Kia EV6 has an approved towing capacity of 1,600 kilos.

Relax chairs

Kia EV6 is equipped with comfortable relaxation seats that can be folded back in almost a completely horizontal position. It is perfect if you want to rest for a while, for example when you stop and recharge.

Augmented Reality Head-Up Display

The Kia EV6 has an Augmented Reality Head Up Display that projects a virtual layer on the windshield that shows speed and navigation. It gives the driver the opportunity to stay focused on the road.

Dual arched panoramic screens

The dual panoramic screens of 12.3 + 12.3 inches are high-resolution and arched, with intuitive menus and user-friendly interface for the best user experience. The technology is standard in the Kia EV6, which at the end of February this year received the award “Car of the Year” where 59 motoring journalists from 22 European countries voted the best car of the year.

Electric four-wheel drive

Kia EV6 can be ordered with double electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle. Four-wheel drive means better maneuverability and more stability on challenging surfaces. The Kia EV6 GT Line has the twin engines as standard equipment, but the Kia EV6 Plus is also available with four-wheel drive.

With its twin electric motors, the Kia EV6 GT Line has a total of 325 horsepower. 0 to 100 km / h runs in 5.2 seconds. Later this year, the top version Kia EV6 GT will be launched, which with its power of 577 horsepower does 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.Kia EV6 – The new generation electric car The article is produced by Brand Studio in collaboration with KIA and not an article by Dagens industri
