WhaleStats, the whale-watching bot, revealed in a recent report which altcoins are popular purchases among the top 1000 Ethereum (ETH) holders.
According to on-chain data, the major Ethereum holders are reaffirming their convictions and buying even more ETH, averaging $644,737 in the past 24 hours to top the list.
After ETH, whales Ethereum are dollarizing with stablecoins USDT and USDC with average purchase of $ 173,848 and $ 51,206, respectively.
Then, the whales are taking advantage of bitcoin that dropped below $60,000 to acquire WBTC, the token on the Ethereum network that is backed by the largest cryptocurrency on the market. A total of 0.254 WBTC was purchased in the amount of US$ 14,832.
Interestingly, after buying ether, dollar and bitcoin, the whales' next biggest buy was Shiba Inu , the crypto-meme of the time. Collectively, Ethereum's 1000 Largest Whales have purchased $4,975 worth of SHIB in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, WOO Network (WOO), Chainlink (LINK), Polygon (MATIC), the Dogelon Mars (ELON) and The Graph (GRT) meme have average purchase values below $4,000.
Caution: one of these cryptocurrencies is extremely concentrated in the hands of whales.
Looking at the general holdings of the main Ethereum wallets, one altcoin has broken away from the rest of the pack: the Shiba Inu dog-themed meme coin.
The data shows that the top 1,000 ETH portfolios combined hold more than $2.38 billion in SHIB tokens.
In second place is CRO, as the largest ETH whales hold more than $661 million in the Crypto.com token, while third place goes to Tether, the largest stablecoin on the market, with shares worth over $US$ 642 million.
