The estimate for the expansion of the Gross Domestic Product ( GDP) – the sum of all goods and services produced in the country – went from 3.6% to 4.6%. The information is contained in the Inflation Report, quarterly publication of the BC, released yesterday (24) and, according to the agency , despite the intensity of the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic, recent indicators of domestic economic activity continue to show a more recent evolution. “In addition, the partial recovery of the confidence of economic agents, the measures to preserve employment and income, the prognosis of the advance of the vaccination campaign, the high prices of commodities (primary products with international quotations) and the lagged effects of the monetary stimulus indicate favorable prospects for the economy”, says the report.
