Decentralized exchanges (DEX) reported more than $1 trillion in trading volumes in the year 2022, according to data from The Block Research.
This figure represents a significant increase of 858% compared to the trading volumes of decentralized platforms last year, based on December 23 data. In 2020, DEX facilitated more than $115 billion in cryptocurrency trades.
Overall, the monthly volume of exchanges and negotiations as uniswap Pancakeswap reached the peak in May 2022 at $ 162.8 billion. The most sizable month-on-month growth was in January, with a gain of 137.3 percent, according to The Block Research's 2022 Digital Asset Outlook Report.
Uniswap represents a 75% share of the volume of the entire decentralized market, still maintaining a significant dominance.
