Toronto-based mortgage broker Matrix Mortgage Global has announced that it now accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Bitcoin Cash for its services in a press release on Thursday, April 8. The move will help the company increase transparency in payments and, at the same time, expand its global reach. Matrix Mortgage Global will allow payment with digital assets with the help of cryptocurrency payment service provider BitPay. CEO Shawn Allen says the company is following the global shift towards cryptocurrency adoption:
As innovators in the mortgage industry, we decided to accept cryptocurrency to better align ourselves with the shift towards global adoption of digital currency.
Since its inception in 2008, Matrix Mortgage Global has financed more than $ 1 billion in mortgages, winning several "Broker of the Year" awards. The company currently has three offices in the Greater Toronto area.
