Brazilian bank launched public tender and requires knowledge about cryptocurrencies

admin

The Bank of Brasilia opened a public tender this Thursday (7), requiring the candidates have knowledge in cryptocurrencies. In the last year, this is the third Brazilian public bank to hold an event that requires knowledge of this financial technology.

In 2019, the Bank of Brasília had already made a public tender demanding knowledge in cryptocurrencies, blockchain and other related technologies.

The issue has gained much prominence in recent years, after a massive adoption of solutions linked to these technologies. In this way, banks from all over the world show interest in the initiative, including the public ones.

Banco de Brasilia once again requires specific knowledge in cryptocurrencies for a contest

Banco de Brasilia is a mixed capital institution, but has the Government of the Federal District as its main shareholder. Thus, to enter the functional career of the institution, it is necessary to participate in a public tender.

And this Thursday, the Bank of Brasilia (BRB) opened a new public tender, which again requires knowledge of cryptocurrencies by the participants.

The requirement is seen as specific knowledge to invest in the career of the mid-level secretary position.

“BANKS IN THE DIGITAL ERA (current situation and trends). 1 Internet banking, virtual banking and “plastic money”. 2 Mobile banking. 3 Bank open. 4 Consumer behavior in relation to the bank. 5 The user experience. 6 Segmentation and digital interactions. 7 Cognitive artificial intelligence. 8 Digitized bank x digital bank. 9 Fintechs and startups. 10 Mobile solutions and service design. 11 Money in the digital age: Blockchain and other cryptocurrencies. 12 The challenge of banks in the digital age”.

That is, to enter public office, new candidates must demonstrate that they keep up with financial trends and topics of new digital currencies, cryptocurrencies. Applications for this tender will be from August 17 to October 3, 2022.

In Brazil, for example, investment products are already offered by B3 and are linked to the cryptocurrency market, which banks already sell to their investor clients. In other words, the reality of banking sees this issue grow in its technological innovation relationships, or even in the investment offer.

Caixa Econômica and Banco do Brasil have already demanded knowledge in 2021

In 2021, the Banco do Brasil launched a public tender for the position of secretary, considering Bitcoin as currency in public notice.

After that, Caixa Econômica requested knowledge about Bitcoin in a public tender, this time for the position of “New Banking Technician”. This shows that Brazilian public banks already recognize cryptocurrencies as a form of internet and digital money, including Bitcoin.
