Bitcoin (BTC) has valued 1.38% in the last 24 hours, jumping from US$ 31,433 to US$ 31,898 this Thursday morning (22), according to CoinMarketCap. The cryptocurrency was traded above US$ 32,000 at some point in the morning, but it failed to stay above that level. The BTC has been showing slight signs of recovery since Wednesday morning (21). Yesterday afternoon, the asset gained new momentum because of statements made by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, at the online event ‘The B Word’. At the meeting, the billionaire businessman said that he and his two companies have Bitcoin. In addition, it signaled that Tesla could again accept the cryptocurrency as payment. In May, when the car maker announced that it would no longer receive the asset for environmental reasons, the news made the BTC collapse in a few hours. In real, according to the Bitcoin Price Index, the BTC is traded at R$ 166,000 on Thursday in the main exchanges operating in Brazil.

Ethereum (ETH) and altcoins

Like the BTC, all cryptocurrencies present in the 'list of the top 10 in the market' are also operating at a high. The Ethereum (ETH) jumped from R$ 1,900 to US$ 1,984 in the last 24 hours, which represents an increase of 4.45% in the period. In reais, the currency is quoted at R$ 10,352. The Binance Coin (BNB) rose 1.68% and hit US$290, while Cardano (ADA) appreciated 1.98% and hit US$1.16. Dogecoin (DOGE) made a small jump of 1.98% and returned to trading at US$ 0.18. Ripple's XRP and Polkadot (DOT), listed on Coinbase Pro last month, also appreciated in the period. XRP – US$ 0.57 (3.34%)
DOT – US$ 12.24 (2.42%)
